By using a Sue Daley Sewline fabric glue pen to prepare your shapes, you can easily cut down your preparation time by more than 75%!\nEnglish Paper Piecing dates back to the 1800’s and the process of this hand sewing technique was very time consuming. Fabric was thread basted over paper hexagons cut from old letters or ledgers and then whip stitched together. Scissors were used to cut the fabric pieces approximately ¼” larger than the paper shape, meaning a quilt could take years to finish by hand.\nToday the same basic principles are used, but technology is a wonderful thing, making this very time consuming technique achievable by patchworkers far and wide.
